=0 What news to read....?

Hi everyone

Just wondering of what importance people place upon current news events. Do people believe it a neccesity to their game plan, to keep a close watch on market news, or is a tried and tested risk management strategy the way to go?

I personally place more importance on the latter, however with the volatility at the moment, I have started reading news events a whole lot more. Though to be honest i do not know which sources are the most useful. Yahoo finance? cnbc? Just wondering what everyone else uses..

I believe CNBC is only useful when you can't get the Comedy Channel. Rick Santelli is their Colbert, he just doesn't know how silly he is.

I read a lot. I scan WSJ, Washington Post, Detroit News, San Jose Mercury News, every day. Toronto Globe and Mail, FT, Business Week, The Economist weekly.

In the car I listen to Bloomberg.
